- Assistant Engineer (Welding): Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Seven years post qualification experience in welding works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment
- Assistant Engineer (Structural): Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Seven years post qualification experience in structural fittings works in a Shipyard or Dockyard
