Educational Qualification–
Superintendent:
Candidates must be Officers currently serving in the Central Government who meet the following requirements: (a) (i) currently holding similar positions, or (ii) with three years of service in posts in the scale of Rs. 5500-175-9000 (pre-revised) within the same cadre or department or equivalent; or (iii) with eight years of service in posts in the scale Rs. 5000-150-8000 or equivalent within the same cadre or department; and (b) possessing experience in administration, establishment, and account work.
Assistant:
Candidates who have served as Assistant in the Central Secretariat Service or Assistant in the various Directorates under the Central Board of Direct Taxes, or Upper Division Clerks of the Central Secretariat Clerical Service or Upper Division Clerks of the Income Tax Department and various Directorates under the Central Boards of Direct Taxes with five years of regular service in the grade are eligible to apply. The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
Court Master:
(i) Candidates who are currently serving as Court Master of Tribunals or Commissions under the Central Government in the same grade, or (ii) Upper Division Clerks of the Central Secretariat Clerical Service or Tribunals or commissions under Central Government with five years of regular service in the grade are eligible to apply.
Upper Division Clerk:
Candidates who have served as Upper Division Clerk of Central Secretariat Clerical Tax Department and various Service/Income Directorate of Central Board of Direct Taxes or Lower Division Clerks of the Central Secretariat Clerical Services/Directorate under CBDT with eight years of regular service in the grade are eligible to apply.
